CT: Come Ride the Airport Trails with Greater Houston Horse Council!!

Ever been curious about the trails at the Bush Intercontinental Airport near Houston, Texas? Saturday November 17, 2012 Greater Houston Horse Council in cooperation with the Houston Airport System are sponsoring a membership drive trail ride and benefit ride for SIRE. The ride begins at 10 am and lunch will be served at 1 pm. Come on out & ride some new trails and support SIRE at the same time! A portion of each entry fee will be donated to the SIRE program. For new members the ride fee is $35.00
Renewing members fee is $25.00
Lunch is included. Trails are barefoot friendly. Bring your coggins papers. Come and enjoy miles of trails through senic pine forests and along the runways at IAH.

MW: 2013 AHA Distance Nationals

The Arabian Horse Distance Riding Association will be hosting the 2013 Arabian Horse Association National Distance Championship!! All rides will be offered as "Open", for those of you who do not ride a registered Arab.

The Event will be held at the Jim Edgar Panther Creek State Fish and Wildlife Area, near Chandlerville, Illinois. JEPC has many great things to offer us!

The Championship 100 will be on Thursday, October 24; the Championship 50 will be on Saturday, Oct 26; the Championship 2-day Competitive ride will be Sun-Mon, October 27-28. During the 100, a 50 mile ride, an LD, and a comp ride will be offered; the 50 will also have LD and comp. There will be no endurance events during the Competitive Championship.

More details will be coming via facebook, email, and the website (www.ahdra.org). AHDRA also has a facebook site for those who are interested in joining. If I do not have your email, feel free to contact me through facebook. I can put you on my lists of update emails, though most information will be available on the website. However - please consider volunteering for a day!! Those updates will probably be via email.
